Or you could ignore them until they forget why they ever signed up for your lost to begin with. Just to make sure that does not happen I’m going to discuss the 3 step formula that allows you to create a successfully follow-up email series.
Please note that if you have any technical issues creating your email series you should contact your auto responder service support desk as part of the fees you pay include technical support. Don’t let technical issues keep you from making progress building towards your future. In the worst case you can find outsource support on fivver.com to handle the technical implementation of the initial setup of your follow-up email series.
The 3 step formula we have used to create a successfully follow-up email series includes sending a series of 3 emails over a 3 day period. Day 1 includes crafting a story, then day 2 contains the lessons learned and finally day 3 has the offer.
Day 1 Follow-Up email Series – Story
In order to create an effective follow-up e-mail series we need to understand the fundamentals of communications. We know that by creating a back story during our day 1 email submission we can build anticipation and a hook to make them want to read more. This should be a compelling story that engages the reader and creates tension that builds to the second day’s email.
You may want to include your own experiences or someone you know that has had to deal with the same issue. This brings you closer to your prospect and allows you to connect with them on a personal level. You should be writing directly towards each individual instead of writing to a group of people, this will engender and engage the individual more effectively.
Day 2 Follow-Up email Series – Lessons Learned
Now we build on the story that was presented on during the day 1 follow-up email series submission. In the day 2 email you will elaborate on the lessons you have learned that allow you to develop the possible solution or solutions. These solutions should allow your prospect to feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is hope for them to solve their problem. This can be a list with steps to the solution or just a simple list of possible solutions to the problem they are facing.
Day 3 Follow-Up email Series – The Offer
The day 3 email is where you bring in your call to action. Here is where you craft your irresistible offer that directly relates to the problem you’re trying to solve. This could be a coaching program, a training course or a system that provides a recurring service. It doesn’t matter what type of niche you are trying to service you can develop a product or find a product that you can sell as an affiliate.
You are now ready to create and effective and successfully follow-up email series. You can now communicate with confidence knowing you are providing value to your list. To find out more information on how to build a responsive list and to setup your follow-up email series CLICK HERE.
